VLANs are not required when deploying an NVT Phybridge CLEER24 switch. The switch and the adapters act essentially like a physical VLAN. This is done by isolating the IP traffic to the parallel network provided by the CLEER switch. The switch has a default configuration of VLAN 1 with all untagged configurations. This will pass all untagged VLAN traffic and drop-tagged traffic that is not configured on the switch.
If you need to configure your IP end devices to work with any VLANs, because you may already be using VLANs on your corporate data network, you will need to configure the switch to handle VLAN traffic.
Refer to the video tutorial to know how to configure VLAN on the switch.
