EC-Link (NV-ECLK) can be used as a substitute for EC-Base when it is connected to another EC-Link. To set this up, the EC-Link has to be put in extender mode.
How to set it up?
Check the toggle switch on the underside of the adapter, when used in pairs the EC-Link that has power applied to it (head-end) should be set to X and the other (Field) left at the default position.
Note for Power:
If the PoE switch supports negotiation with the EC-Link, then the EC-links will power up from the switch, in just about every case you will need a local power supply for the head-end unit. In order to locally power the head end EC-link, we will require the local power supply NV-PS55-48W-P which will also have the appropriate phoenix connector pieces included.
