Will the NVT Phybridge 1701+ (NV-EC1701PLS) units work with switches that allow only 1 MAC address per port?

No, because each NVT Phybridge device in the path between the PD (Powered Device) and the switch port has its own MAC ID, the switch port must allow at least 3 MAC addresses per port.

This security protocol is sometimes known as a MAC Sticky Protocol or Closed IP Configuration, which is usually available in managed switches.
