It should be noted that warranties can only take place if the unit has active warranty coverage. (5 years for CHARIOT adapters and 1 year for managed switches with additional warranty available). Warranty coverage will account for manufacturing defects within the switch and hardware failures that are not caused by environmental or electrical surge damage.
